You Have Questions, We Have Answers
Thank you for your interest in supporting a WE Local conference. WE Local conferences are a joint collaboration between SWE Headquarters, members and local organizations whose goal is to see women achieve their fullest potential in their careers as engineers and leaders.
In order to make your decision as simple as possible, we have included a FAQ list. If you have additional questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is there a prospectus for WE Local?
Yes! For 2018, WE Local is offering one prospectus that features two price offerings for all five WE Local (North America) conferences. Sponsorship levels are based on the number of expected attendees: 500 or 750+ attendees.
Who is the audience for WE Local?
The WE Local audience will be very similar to what is seen at the Society of Women Engineers annual conference. Participants will be women engineers in all stages of their career and will range from undergraduates to highly experienced full-time professionals.
What is the estimated number of attendees?
We cannot predict numbers for WE Local conferences, however for 2018, WE Local will have two expected audience sizes. WE Local Phoenix, Portland and Tulsa will be at an expected attendee count of 500, and WE Local Milwaukee and Providence is expected to be between 750-1,000 attendees.
Why is there a cap on attendees?
WE Local is committed to providing members a local experience. This local experience includes being able to engage and interact with local businesses and members who work and/or live in the same area. By capping the attendance, members are able to get better acquainted, build a strong(er) relationship with other members in the area and spend more time with businesses.
Is there a limit of how many companies can participate at the Career Fair?
Yes, all WE Local conferences are set to 50 exhibit/career fair tables. Selection is made on a first come, first serve basis, taking sponsor packages into first consideration.
What are the exhibit/career fair hours?
Based on feedback we received last year, the WE Local career fair is split between two days and includes “Career Fair Only” time blocks.
- Setup: 12:00-1:00 pm
- Hours with two or three congruent sessions: 1:15-3:45 pm
- Career Fair Only: 3:45-5:00 pm
