Characterized with a quaint New England vibe, Providence has carefully restored the urban landscape of downtown to hip coffee shops, red-hot restaurants, great museums and thriving community gardens. Providence shares an impressive array of green space and outdoor opportunities. This includes the Waterplace Park--a four-acre park with amphitheater, landscaped terraces and boat landings. Within walking distance of this park is Roger Williams Park that features 430 acres of outdoors gardens, Museum of National History and Planetarium and the famous Roger Williams Park Zoo.
Rhode Island is nicknamed the “Ocean State” so you will amazing seafood at (practically) every corner. Don’t like seafood? Try some local favorites (Rogue Island Local Kitchen or Del's Lemonade) and about 100 restaurants for every 100,000 residents.

Bring the kids to the Carousel Village to hike, bike or enjoy some of the many activities the Village has to offer. Your kids will beg you to return after a day riding the carousel (photo opp!), playing miniature golf and riding on a Swan Paddleboat.
