MARCH 9-10, 2018
You can count on your fingers the number of reasons that make Milwaukee unique. From the architectural history, geographical location (three rivers flow into a Great Lake!), to big-city entertainment at small-town prices — Milwaukee offers visitors a little bit of everything. If you ask any local in Milwaukee, “Local isn’t a buzzword. It’s a way of life.” Come experience WE Local in Milwaukee, March 9-10, 2018.
What to expect in...
No matter the reasoning for attending, WE Local Milwaukee has a variety of experiences to offer sponsors, attendees and volunteers that will help you prepare for the conference. Be sure to stay connected with WE Local Milwaukee by saving this site to your favorites, using hashtag #WELocalMilwaukee or #WELocal on SWE social media sites; following the Milwaukee Facebook event page; or sign-up to be notified of updates.
WE Local offers an unique experience for sponsors where they can network, recruit and even, dine with attendees. Smaller than SWE's annual conference, WE Local is the perfect opportunity to learn about the organization and SWE members. View the complete list of WE Local sponsorship opportunities.
Attendees of WE Local have the opportunity to attend 35+ sessions over two-days and join in several networking opportunities that embrace the local qualities of Milwaukee. From the architectural history, geographical location (three rivers flow into a Great Lake!), to big-city entertainment at small-town prices — Milwaukee offers visitors a little bit of everything. Milwaukee has also landed in the top 50 U.S. News and World Reports, as one of the “Best Places to Live.” So, it’s no surprise it’s home to eight Fortune 500 companies. In Milwaukee, “Local isn’t a buzzword. It’s a way of life."
From walking to biking, Milwaukee offers hundreds of opportunities to get outdoors. With over 150 state and county parks, over 130 miles of bike trails, 75 golf courses and 22,300 square miles of Lake Michigan bordering the city. There is an opportunity for all to get outside and enjoy what makes Milwaukee unique.
Of course, American style cuisine is offered in Milwaukee but take a walk outside the states with French to Traditional Italian and Indian. With James Beard Award-winning restaurants and several farm-to-table restaurants, the attendee who is looking to try local foods will be wildly pleased.
FOR THE FAMILY
So, we say it's for the family but we know kids and adults will both enjoy the variety of family friendly activities Milwaukee has to offer. With over a half dozen museums (Milwaukee Art Museum, Old World Wisconsin and Betty Brinn, to name a few) and unique locations like Discovery World (interactive technology meets maritime heritage), children of all-ages will be excited to join.
