Dr Seema Chopra

Dr Seema Chopra is working as Global Technical Leader – Data Analytics at Boeing Research and Technology, India. She was recognized as part of the Boeing Technical Fellowship and became Boeing India’s first ‘Associate Technical Fellow’ for Artificial Intelligence. Her prior experience was with GE as a PHM (Prognostic Health Management) Technical Leader and was involved in the design and developing prognostic health management technologies for Gas turbines. Seema earned her doctorate degree in Control engineering from IIT Roorkee, India. Seema is certified Black belt – DFSS Lean Six Sigma and has 14 patents and 35+ publications in various International/National journals & conferences.

Suchismita Sanyal

Suchismita Sanyal is currently the General Manager, Computational Science at Shell Technology Centre Bangalore, leading a team of 40+ researchers in delivering computational solutions to Shell. A metallurgist by training, Suchismita brings in 18+ years of corporate R&D experience with GE and Shell and specializes in advanced computational techniques for accelerated discovery of materials and device design.

Her other passion includes exploring innovation tools for project excellence: Suchismita is a trained level-3 expert in TRIZ (Russian acronym for Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) methodology. She has 5 Patents and 15+ peer-reviewed journal publications to her credit. Passionate about diversity and inclusion, Suchismita has been involved in driving technical women’s network activities across Shell and GE.


Madhuri D Madhavanpillai
Senior Manager, Cloud Platform Development, IBM India Pvt Ltd.

Madhuri has held a variety of technical and management positions in her 16 year career with IBM. With a total of 19 years of experience under her belt, she is an active contributor to the diversity initiatives of IBM. Madhuri has led multiple diversity events across IBM business units and organized technical conferences like IBM Women in technology conference that helps in the development of technical leadership for women.

In her current role in IBM, she primarily manages the IBM Cloud Security Advisor development mission. The last couple of years, Madhuri was designated for a stretch assignment and performed the Program Manager role for Technical Experts Council-India (IBM Academy of Technology Affiliate), IBM India Software Labs Diversity Focal point.  She loves to participate in career mentoring inside and outside IBM. Madhuri has also filed a patent (issued) and has 1 publish to her credit.

Chetana Prasad

Chetana Prasad has been with Trane Technologies (formerly part of Ingersoll Rand) for the last 14+ years, as a Program Manager working on enterprise level corporate initiatives and also end-to-end project execution. She is also an Advanced Certified Scrum Master and a strong advocate of Agile practices across the organization.

She represents Trane Technologies at SWE Bangalore, as a part of the various Diversity and Inclusion initiatives that Trane Technologies is involved in.

Rema P Ravindran is currently the Director, Power & Controls Business Unit at Collins Aerospace engineering centre in Bangalore, leading a team of 250+ engineers in delivering electronic control systems for the power generation & distribution,  engine & airframe controls and environmental control sub-systems on an aircraft. Rema is an Electrical Engineer, with 25+ years of experience in systems engineering in the domains of power generation, locomotives, metro trains and aerospace. Prior to Collins Aerospace, she was associated with companies like Alstom, GE, Kirloskar Electric, Wabtec and CAE, in progressing technical and managerial roles. Rema is passionate about diversity & inclusion and is the Chair for Collins Aerospace India Women’s Resource Group –“Women with Wings”.

Anshuma is a technology-driven & positive leader with 14+ years of work experience in Software Product Development, Program Management and Delivery Management. She is currently leading a multi-million dollar Global IT Infrastructure program and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning activities for APAC. Anshuma has a passion for diversity and organization development. Singh is an active member and speaker at various Women Technology forums (GHCI , WITI , IWN) both at a national and international level. She is also a strong advocate for the growth of women in STEM. When off work, Anshuma likes to indulge in travel, creative writing, fitness and be the doting mom of her little ones.

Charulatha Varadarajan has a rich experience in Embedded Systems and product development starting from board bring up till product readiness, open source linux drivers, DSP/ assembly language programming, etc. She is a post graduate certified in AIML, training employees in her organization in this field and contributing to intel-tensorflow. Charulatha plays an active role in Diversity and Inclusion initiatives @Intel and has actively participated in Internal and External Conferences. She is a SWE member since 2017 and is chairing the WE Local Bengaluru Poster track since 2019. She is a busy single parent of primary school twinkling twins, a boy and girl. Swathi Mogadali is an avid networking enthusiast, nature lover and Software Engineer by day. She has over 10+ years experience and currently works at Medtronic. Swathi has experience in automating complex issues, such as verifing and validating lifesaving medical devices. Her job involves evaluating various technologies, scripting languages and creating the automation framework to enhance the usability and improve the medical devices. Swathi is one of the Technical Track Chair persons representing Medtronic on the SWE Advisory Board, and one of the key organizing members of Medtronic support for WE Local Bangalore.

Sasi Rekha has 20+ years of experience in the area of Technical Talent Development across industry and academia. She specializes in creating technology leadership pipeline across the organization, role-based competency development plans, driving industry and university alliances, facilitating programs and Agile consulting. Her role in building technology pipeline through technical learning offerings, early career technology leadership programs and learning road-maps. Her responsibility also includes nurturing strategic partnerships with universities to leverage the regional ecosystem. She has an engineering degree in Computer science from the University of Madras. She is a Certified Scrum Master and has worked as an Agile Coach in her previous roles. Being passionate about learning, she has also taught in universities in China and India. An avid reader, her hobbies include trying out new recipes and blogging about social norms which she strongly feels about.

Shalawn Jackson

Shalawn Kirkland Jackson is the Subsurface Manager for ExxonMobil Services & Technology Private Limited (EMSTPL), Bengaluru Technology Center (BTC). In her current role, she provides strategic leadership and direction for the Geoscience, Reservoir and Drilling & Subsurface disciplines ensuring high quality technology support throughout the full well life cycle. Ms. Jackson is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) and Society of Women Engineer (SWE).

Shalawn attended the University of South Carolina where she earned B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry. She joined ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company in 2001 with primary responsibilities in novel materials development, evaluation, and deployment. In 2006, she began working on projects focused on well productivity design and evaluation and then served as a team leader that stewarded both research and breakthrough projects in the area of carbonate matrix acidizing and hydraulic fracturing stimulation.

From 2008 to 2018, she successfully managed various teams within Upstream Research and Production Companies to develop distinguishing capabilities in the areas of materials, corrosion and flow assurance in order to support new developments, ensure asset/production integrity, and increase productivity. In this time Shalawn also co-authored several research articles and publications which have been published in professional journals. Shalawn was awarded the ExxonMobil “Advanced Skill Milestone” award in 2014 which is given globally to only a select company employees, for her technical expertise within subsurface engineering.

Shalawn is passionate about personnel development through personalized mentoring. She and her husband James enjoy traveling and spending time with their teenage daughter.

Gauri is Electronics and Telecommunication engineer with close to 12 years of engineering and technology experience in UK, Germany, Japan and India. She possesses multicultural working experience and multilingual abilities. She has varied experiences in leading technology teams in Electrification, Connectivity and Powertrain domain for passenger cars and for commercial vehicles. Currently she’s working with Cummins Technical Centre, India as Connectivity Leader responsible for developing and integrating IoT solutions.

Gauri has joined SWE in 2020 as global ambassador. She’s passionate about proliferating and strengthening the concept of Diversity and Inclusion.

Jahnavi Chennupati is an energetic leader with 15 years of experience in Engineering. She started her career as a Software Engineer with Caterpillar in 2005 in the US. She leads the Digital & Technology Solutions (D&TS) division which collaborates globally and transforms the latest technologies to develop products and solutions for end users that would add value to the respective business.

With her diverse experience in working with teams across the globe and never-say-die attitude, she has seen as a role model within her organization. She is responsible for guiding on managerial and all aspect of technical leadership support to software team that develop and deliver digital solutions on Connectivity, Telematics and Site level solutions. She currently works as the HR Business Partner for Black & Veatch’s Power & Telecom Businesses in India.

Preetika leads Diversity & Inclusion initiative at Black & Veatch, India office and is also part of the D&I Partner network. Her efforts towards D&I are highly appreciated by Black & Veatch Leadership and she has been instrumental in expanding the reach of several programs of SWE Pune Affiliate such as SWEet Milan, Wow! That’s Engineering and Mentoring in the Engineering Industry. Hingorani’s efforts towards D&I encouraged the Management at Black & Veatch to launch SWE, Mumbai Affiliate! Vandana Pandey

Vandana is a Global Integration Chief Engineer under Enterprise Hybrid Cloud Services (eHCS), where she focuses on the Automation and LifeCycle aspects of Hybrid Cloud. She is Global Quality Leader for Application Hosting Tribe, which majorly consists of Middleware, Database and Enterprise Apps. Vandana is a Platform Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for pilot accounts at IBM, and has over 14+ years of IT Experience. She has been a SWE Ambassador since 2016 and was one of the founding members of SWE Chennai Affiliate and previously served as Affiliate President. She filed her first patent in 2018 and published 2 other disclosures. Vandana leads several diversity initiatives in her company, and has continued to assist women with their professional and personal issues. She is an active mentor and has written several blogs both internally (inside her organisation) and externally.
