WE Local Is Going Green

SWENext DesignLab

SWENext DesignLab is a half-day event that takes place on the second day of each WE Local conference. It is an experience designed to encourage girls to choose a career in engineering. This is achieved through two congruent programs:

  • Middle School Girls Program (Grades 6 – 8)
  • Parent Educator Program (PEP), as well as a high school award: the SWENext Northrop Grumman Community Award.

All girls registered for the SWE Girls Program will participate in a hands-on engineering experience with members of the Society of Women Engineers. Participants are asked to stay for the entire program.
