The SWENext DesignLab High School Awards programs recognize the outstanding young women shaping the future of STEM and SWE, and highlights students demonstrating an aptitude for using STEM to solve real-world issues.
2019 SWENext Community Awards
The SWENext Community Awards recognizes girls in grades 6-12 who are actively interested in STEM and doing something in their community about it (e.g. raising awareness, mentoring students, participating in SWENext, etc.). Community Award recipients will attend DesignLab and receive a certificate during the awards ceremony. Click here to enter.

Community Innovator Awards
Three juniors and seniors from the Community Awards applications will be deemed a Community Innovator. To be considered, students must submit a three-minute video discussing their involvement with STEM and what they are doing in their community. Community Innovators will receive a SWENext trophy and a mentoring session with a SWE Professional. Click here to enter.
SWENext DesignLab Community Engagement Challenge
The SWENext DesignLab Community Engagement Challenge is an outreach challenge for high school students. Teams will have a chance to win $1,000 to implement a community service project and an all expense paid trip to SWE’s annual conference, WE19, in Anaheim, California. Click here to learn more.
